The short version: We don't collect your data. Period.
Appstinence uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to see which apps you open and how long you use them. This data is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted, uploaded, stored on any server, or shared with anyone — including us.
None. Appstinence has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party SDKs, and no advertising. We literally cannot see your data. We don't know who you are, what apps you use, or how often you use them.
All data — including your screen time statistics, intervention history, streak counts, and preferences — is stored locally on your device in encrypted app storage. If you delete Appstinence, all data is permanently deleted. There is no cloud backup of your Appstinence data.
Appstinence contains no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tools, or tracking of any kind. The only external service interaction is with Apple's StoreKit for processing purchases.
Appstinence can save a wallpaper image to your Photos library during setup. This is the only interaction with your photo library. We never read or access your existing photos.
Appstinence offers a 7-day free trial with full access. After the trial, basic features remain free. Appstinence Pro unlocks all features through a monthly subscription ($4.99/month), annual subscription ($29.99/year), or one-time lifetime purchase ($59.99). All purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings at any time.
Appstinence does not collect data from any user of any age. We comply with COPPA and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian has questions, they can contact us at getappstinence@gmail.com.
You can delete all Appstinence data at any time by deleting the app. Since we don't collect or store any data on our servers, there is nothing to request deletion of. You own your data because it never leaves your device.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you through the app before the changes take effect. The latest version will always be available at this page.

By downloading, installing, or using Appstinence, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Gopher Labs LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Appstinence on any Apple device that you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms of Service.
Appstinence is designed to help you pause before opening distracting apps. It does not block, lock, or restrict access to any app. You always retain full control of your device.
Appstinence offers a 7-day free trial. During the trial, all features are unlocked. After the trial, basic features remain free.
Appstinence Pro is available as a monthly subscription ($4.99/month), annual subscription ($29.99/year), or one-time lifetime purchase ($59.99). Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings. The lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that grants permanent access. Refunds are handled by Apple through their standard refund process.
Opening interventions require manual setup of iOS Shortcuts Automations. This functionality depends on Apple's Shortcuts framework, which Gopher Labs LLC does not control. Changes to iOS may affect how Shortcuts Automations behave.
Appstinence is a tool to encourage mindful phone usage. We do not guarantee any specific reduction in screen time or changes in behavior. This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.
You are responsible for setting up Shortcuts Automations and configuring the app. Appstinence relies on Apple's Screen Time APIs, which may behave differently across iOS versions and devices.
Appstinence is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Gopher Labs LLC does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gopher Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of Appstinence.
You and Gopher Labs LLC acknowledge that these terms are between you and Gopher Labs LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. Gopher Labs LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for Appstinence and its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to Appstinence.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Gopher Labs LLC may terminate or suspend your access to Appstinence at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Appstinence after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
